iMaptools has processed the new Tiger2006se data from US Census and has it available for new customers and existing clients for upgrades. This is an exciting new release that is part of the Census Tiger Modernation program. Roughly twice a year and major update is released and made available. This updates have streets realigned and new streets added and hydrology features are updated. For example in Middlesex County, Massachusetts where we are located and have ground truth and local knowledge, we have to say we are extremely impressed. When updated areas are compared to other high-end commerical data like Navteq are only very small differences from a mapping perspective. This data is still does not have the information required for routing application but is is exciting to see the level of detail and quality that has gone into these releases.

iMaptools processes this data, converts it to ESRI shapefile format and adds significant value with its integration with mapping, geocoding, and reverse geocoding.
