iMaptools has has written a new Reverse geocoder was a C application that is faster and greatly simplifies installation. This is an exciting new addition to our product suite that is currently support for in the Linux environment and we plan to add support for Windows in the near future. We will continue to support the PHP version for customers that would prefer that. Both versions are generate identical XML output.
Our clients are using reverse geocoding for location based service and for GPS tracking application to mention a few. Our reverse geocoder is capable of return interpolated street addresses and cross streets and information about any spatial data sources that you configure it with. iMaptools.com packages the reverse geocoder with complete coverage for the US and has an option data package for Canadian street coverage.
